Fiona McGruer

I am an ESRC 3+ PhD Psychology with advanced Quantitative Methods student at Glasgow University, under Dr Lars Muckli. My current work concerns visual encoding of illusory percepts and personal states in the Rubber Hand Illusion using fMRI. I will be moving on to study visual prediction and cortical communication in Schizotypal and Schizophrenic subjects as compared to typical subjects.

In my work I regularly use, and am experienced with, BrainVoyagerQX, Matlab and Retinotopic Mapping. I have also taken intensive courses in R.

I have a BSc in Psychology (1st class, awarded 2011) and MSc in Brain Imaging (Merit, awarded 2012).

My research interests include cortical prediction, consciousness and advancing knowledge of neural processing in clinical application.
